1.6 on macOS Sierra gives Problem dialogue every launch

Hey guys,

I've just launched Focused 2, a free upgrade for current users and it works on Sierra

The app has also been transferred to Codebots.co.uk, a company that I'm the founder of.

71Squared has historically targeted developers and pro users with tools like Particle Designer and Glyph Designer. Last year 71Squared acquired Focused and Deep Dreamer from Realmac Software. We've loved taking on the responsibility of these apps, but at the same time it's distracted us from what 71Squared set out to achieve.

The update should 'just work' with your current license, so go ahead and give it a try.

I'm seeing this too; there have been updates provided in this other thread.

Scroll bar is light themed in dark theme... Is there a way to fix?

I had this exact problem. Fixed it by going to System Preferences | General and set Show Scroll Bars to When Scrolling. It's a MacOS issue, not Focused.

Adding Images to Focused

Just figured it out (and it's something you guys should look at):

My folder had a "?" in the name and that seemed to trip up the app. When I take the "?" out of the folder name, the image appears perfectly.

Now, what's left is the line looks funky (a double line with an x in the middle) vs. standard edition line. Is there a reason for this?

Hi ya

When using Markdown a double carriage return is needed to identify a new paragraph. If you have a number at the start of the line and perform a single carriage return then Markdown treats that as a list and increments the number.

Using a double carriage return will give you the behaviour you need.

Focused suggestion Paragraph indention

@Mike Hi, Mike. Wondering where things stand on the paragraph indent issue. As zendog3 mentioned, lack of indent is the only thing keeping me from using it as my sole processor. While exporting via RTF may retain paragraph returns, there's no substitute to having them visible. Thanks,

Hey!

Focused is a completely stand alone product but RapidWeaver does have a built in markdown plugin. So, you could write your awesome content using Zen mode in Focused, then copy over to RapidWeaver when your done

Hi ssh, I've just fixed the problem with the spacing you spotted on the lists. The spacing between an indented list item and the next line as shown in your screen shot now works correctly. I've dropped a screen shot below of your example list as it looks now.

I'm running the last set of regression tests and if everything passes then there should be an update out tomorrow.

I've actually just spotted a problem caused during the account migration meaning an email address containing a plus symbol hasn't migrated successfully.

We are working to resolve this issue for all users but to get you going I've manually created a Focused license for you and sent to your email address.

How to De-authorize License on one Computer to Use on Another

I just got a new Mac and am unable to authorize Focused on it presumably because I was previously running the app on the desktop I replaced and a laptop.

How/where can I de-authorize one of those machines so I can use the registration key on my new Mac.

I'm not seeing anything in Preferences or any of the other menus.

poor copy/paste results

I know Focused is a creative writing app in the first place, but I would like it to be better at copy/paste actions of html sources. Copy a portion of text (preferably a numbered list) from a webpage, paste it in Focused, and then try to edit it, and you'l see what I mean. As far as I can tell, Focused has no option to force a 'plain text' paste. Are there plans to improve Focused on this point?

FYI I have the non-AppStore version. The last update didn't work properly. It was caught in the "you need to update" restart "you need to update" loop. I downloaded a new copy (the demo link) and all seems fine now.

On how many Macs can I register Focused? I've got it registered at two Macs and get an error that I can't register it for a third one because it's already installed on too many machines.
